The state of rains has led to Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao exhorting IT and Tech companies to decentralize office space in the city.

  • Beyond Kondapur & Madhapur: The Minister urged companies to expand beyond Kondapur and Madhapur to decentralize their office operations in the city. He received enthusiastic cheers from the gathered audience for his suggestions for companies to extend operations in Malakpet, Uppal, and other areas.

  • Shorter Commute to Office: Acknowledging the difficulties faced by employees in commuting, the minister stated that it can be difficult for people to board the Metro, cabs, or drive all the way to Kondapur for work. The minister suggested that companies should create work opportunities in areas outside of the mainstream workplaces.

This specially designed vehicle is set to embark on a 100-day journey across 28 government and private medical institutions across the Southern states of India.

  • Training Rural Doctors: The main objective of the Surgical Training on Wheels vehicle is to train surgeons in rural areas and give them hands-on experience. The initiative is set to train over 2000 medical professionals including general, GI, orthopedic, cancer, and cardiac surgeons.

  • Reaching Remote Areas: The Director and chief of surgery at AIG Hospitals, Dr DV Rap states that the mobility of this special vehicle allows it to travel to remote areas and reach surgeons who have limited access to advanced training opportunities.

Aspiring to be a thoughtful citizen, he called on his 33 years of expertise to build their sustainable house using green building technologies.

  • A Green Home: Walking the Talk, the home of Mr Ramachandrudu is built to conserve water and energy. The house is fitted with a rainwater harvesting system and the collected water is used for household purposes. Their energy-efficient home is powered by self-generated solar and has brought down electricity bills to a mere Rs 22.

  • Recycled Home Furnishing: For furniture and home equipment, wood and required materials were gathered from old dismantled houses. The repurposed antique pieces of furniture now adorn their home, door frames, and window frames.
